The Columbia College athletics department offers summer camps in a variety of sports for children and teens.
The Columbia College Summer Swim program is a program designed to develop and enhance the swimming abilities of swimmers of all ages starting at 6 months as the minimum age for entry. The program offers classes throughout the whole summer broken up into 3 sessions, each lasting two weeks. The classes run from Monday through Thursday of each week. The class times run throughout the whole day. The cost is $70 per child per session and is non-refundable.
Basketball camp - Camp has been cancelled.
Players will work on individual skill sets infield, outfield, hitting, base running. Pitchers will work on spots, power, distance workouts, pitches, and working collaboratively with catchers. Catchers will work on mechanics, footwork, throwing, pitch calling, and blocking.
The Tennis Camp at Columbia College is designed for commuter students. The camps at Columbia College are administered by coaching staff, including head coach Nancy Powell. This year's camp will focus on the fundamentals and individual skill work.
This camp is for any one going into grades 6 – 12 who are new to the sport or who are considering trying out for their school team for the 1st time and want to learn the basic skills of the sport. Campers will be introduced to the fundamentals of every skill of the sport and an introduction into how to play in a team concept as well.
