Columbia topples AAC opponent Union

COLUMBIA, SC – Columbia College women's basketball defeated AAC opponent Union, Ky. 67-49 on Saturday afternoon at home.

The first quarter was a back and forth battle between the teams; Union managed to take a 5-point lead but gave up a quick series of fast breaks just before time. The score closed 15-16 heading into the second. Columbia's offense took control midway to the half and racked up 22-points to Union's 12-points.

Union pushed to close the score gap after the half, scoring 10-11 in the third but the distance left after the second quarter was too much to match. The fourth quarter finished out with a series of fouls to cement the lead with 18-12 to the Koalas.
