Seniors Honored in Last Game of Season

In the last game of the season the Koalas wanted to take the time out to recognize and honor the seniors that are currently on the team. Madison Ferguson, Alana Weyer and Amber Sherrill are the three seniors that will be graduating this year from Columbia College. Although the team lost the game to Bryan College 73-53, the focus was on the seniors and all that they have done for the program.

Madison Ferguson majored in Special Education. As a Koala Madison has 126 points, 76 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 steals while shooting 42% from the field. In the 2015-16 season Madison shot 53% from the field which landed her #4 on the top ten list.

While at Columbia College Alana majored in Psychology with a  minor in Spanish. As a Koala Alana has scored 347 points along with 277 rebounds, 47 assists, 24 steals and 91 blocks which is #1 on the top ten list. Alana plans to go on to graduate school after graduation and get her masters in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Amber Sherrill majored in Public Health with a minor in Leadership. As a Koala, Amber has scored 1094 points, had 408 rebounds, 208 assists, and 160 steals. She shot 36% from the field, 40% from 3 point and 74% at the freethrow line. Amber is also only the second player to reach 1000 points in the programs history which she accomplished earlier this season.

The Koalas thank the ladies for their hard work and effort and wish them nothing but the best of luck in the future.
