Dubas and Blackstock Named AAC Players of the Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Natalie Dubas of Columbia and Kendra Blackstock of Columbia are the Appalachian Athletic Coference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Playersof the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

This is the sixth edition of the awards for 2015-16. The next set of honors will be announced on April 12.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week

Natalie Dubas - Columbia - Sr. - Goalie - Denver, Colo.

  • Averaged 8.67 saves per game in helping Columbia to a 2-1 record.
  • Had a save percentage of 0.703.
  • Posted a 23-0 shutout against Montreat.
  • This is Dubas' third weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week

Kendra Blackstock - Columbia - Jr. - M - Mount Pleasant, S.C.

  • Registered 17 goals and 1 assist in helping Columbia to a 2-1 record on the week.
  • Posted 6 goals in wins against Montreat and Asbury.
  • Had 2 groundballs and 6 forced turnovers as well.
  • This is Blackstock's third weekly award this season.
