Columbia College Head Soccer Coach Robert Hunter has announced the addition of Madison Lamb to the Koalas recruiting class for 2019.
Lamb comes to Columbia as a transfer from Erskine College, where she spent the first two years of her college career. In two years while at Erskine, Madi played in 31 games for the Flying Fleet, logging over 1500 minutes in the competitive Conference Carolinas. She played in both defense and midfield for Erskine during her career.
Prior to Erskine, Lamb played for GPS Lexington Soccer Academy in Lexington, SC, where she was a four year starter for the 98 girls gold team. She helped her team qualify for state cup on four occasions, as well as winning numerous tournaments and participating in the prestigious NCFC Showcase. During her high school career she played for Providence Athletic Club under Coach Joel Chandler and was a captain her senior year.
Coach Hunter commented, "I am extremely excited to add Madi to our group for the fall. She has a lot of experience playing collegiately at the NCAA Division II level, and we certainly feel as if she is someone who can come in and be a central figure for our team from the start. Her club and high school background prepared her well for the jump to the college level, and we are certain that Madi can make an instant impact for us this fall as a junior."
