Led by Senior Cassie Adams the Koalas won the 400 yard medley relay. Adams also won two individual events; the 100 yard fly and the 200 yard breaststroke. Also winning and scoring in individuals was Sophomore Tabitha Simonson who competed in the 1650 yard freestyle, and the 200 individual medley. Also scoring in individuals were Senior Marianne DeWitt and Freshman Megan Perry and both were on the winning relay teams as well.
Lastly, Sophomore Haley Stewart acheived a 'Bonus" qualifying standard in the 100 yard freestyle for the NAIA National Meet. That gives the Koalas their fourth swimmer to qualify so far.
When asked about the success his team has had so far this year Coach Gallaher stated, "I'm very pleased with how well we raced in our first meet since November. The team has been training great, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how well they swim the rest of the season."
The Koalas are back in the pool on January 25th as they head over to West Virginia Tech.
