Columbia tennis takes conference win over Montreat

Black Mountain, NC – Columbia College tennis dropped AAC Conference opponent Montreat College on Tuesday, April 10th, by 1 point to finish 5-4.



Columbia took one point away from the doubles matches, solidifying a single win from doubles partner's Caitlin Wolf and Sarah McClendon.

Caitlyn Wolf continued her fine play by winning her match at number two singles 6-0,6-2 while Madyson Murphy won at number 3 singles 6-2,6-2. Sarah McClendon won her match at number 4 singles in exciting fashion 6-4,7-5 and Bethany Frazier finished the deciding match by winning number 5 singles 6-4,6-2.

Coach Morrison was very pleased with the win and, was "happy the ladies received a W" in conference play. He said, "We fought hard and did not give up against a tough team but our ladies were determined to win.".

The Koalas next match is away this Sunday April 15 at 4:00 pm EST against Anderson College.
