The Koalas has been able to put together another historic and productive season. With back to back indoor conference titles and a runner up finish at outdoor conference, the future of the Columbia College track and field team is very bright. The quest for greatness continues for one Koala this weekend, sophomore hurdler Kelsey White-Kennedy.
In her second season as a sprinter for Columbia, White-Kennedy has again excelled in all aspects of being a student athlete. She wa san All-American last year in the hurdles, qualified for indoor nationals and looks to become the first 2x All-American hurdler in school history. The feat won't be easy as competition is extremely high. Going into the meet Kelsey is currently ranked 21st out of 32 athletes in the 100m hurdle race.
White-Kennedy was prepared to go to the meet with fellow teammate and first year phenom Amber Bell, who had qualified in the 100 and 200 earlier in the season, but will not be able to compete due to an injury she suffered at the outdoor conference meet.
The NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Meet will be hosted in Gulf Shores, AL. Live results and schedule can be found if you click here.
