Tennis Signs Four Players

Lindsey Hughes announced the signing of four players as she enters her first season as the head tennis coach at Columbia College.  Nicole Hill, Brittany Collins, Abbagayle Stevenson, and Candace Matthews will join the Fighting Koalas for the 2008-09 season.

Nicole Hill graduated from Pelion High School where she played doubles and singles for four years.  Pelion finished the 2008 season finished 2nd in the region.  She prefers doubles over singles because of the teamwork that goes into doubles.

Candace Matthews graduated from Thomas Sumter Academy. Matthews played four years for Thomas Sumter in singles and doubles.  She was a state runner-up her junior season.  

Also, joining the Koalas are Brittany Collins and Abbagayle Stevenson.  Collins comes from Conway High School and Stevenson from local Airport High School.
