Men's Track & Field's 4x400 Relay team and Race Walker Racic Finish 1st in Indoor Meets at Roanoke and Mondo
ROANOKE, VA & WINSTON-SALEM, NC- The Columbia College men's indoor track and field team competed at two indoor meets over the weekend with the sprinters and throwers heading up to the Roanoke Invitational while the distance runners and race walkers headed to Winston-Salem for the Mondo College meet.
60m Dash:
Bradley Tilby - 7.04 seconds (10th place), Tristen Patterson - 7.17 (25th), Dominick Young - 7.18 (T-27th), Willy Calcano- 7.18 (T-27th), William Smith- 7.19 (31st).
200m:
Xavier Linen- 22.8 seconds (8th), Kimarje White- 23.5 (25th), Dominick Young - 23.6 (28th), Ashton Pouncie - 23.67 (30th).
400m:
T. Patterson - 51.5 seconds (5th), Caleb Bailey- 51.65 (7th), X. Linen - 51.7 (8th), K. White - 51.8 (11th), Dominick Young- 52.1 (14th), A. Pouncie - 52.2 (16th), W. Calcano - 53.7 (21st), Jayden Young - 56.37 (41st), and Albert Shaw- 57.4 (44th)
Mile: Harold Nolan - 5:19 (56th place)
3000m: Kristian Sanchez - 10:15 (45th place)
3000m Race Walk: 4th ranked Dorde Racic - 13:21 (1st place), #22 K. Sanchez - 18:06 (3rd place).
Long Jump:
Tyler Dixon- 5.87m (32nd), and Albert Shaw - 5.41m (39th).
Triple Jump:
Tyler Dixon - 12.6m (9th-New Personal Record)
Weight Throw:
Gavin Rice- 13.48m (16th), Daylon McDonald- 13.28m (18th), Jonathan Davis - 11.9m (30th-new PR), Guruveer Jhaj - 10.5m (37th), and S. Ah Ping - 9.6m (42nd).
Shot Put:
Geo Tobias- 12m (25th), Jonathan Davis - 11m (35th-personal record), Gavin Rice - 10.96m (37th), Sam Ah Ping- 10.8m (39th) and Nebi Young - 9.9m (41st).
Men's 4x4m A- Team: Bailey, White, Linen, and Calcano: 3:26 (1st place of 11 - season-best time)
B Team: A. Pouncie, D. Young, R. Flowers, T. Patterson: 3:54 (9th place of 11)
*The Indoor team next returns to the track this Friday and Saturday in Lexington, VA at the VMI Invite.
