Track and Field Teams Win Three Athlete of the Week Awards

Week 1: AAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

- Freshman distance runner DJ McGriff-Agers of Columbia College was named as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 indoor season. The next set of indoor awards will be announced on Jan. 19.

 DJ McGriff-Agers - Columbia - Freshman

  • Finished third in the 800 meters at the USC Gamecock Opener on Saturday.
  • Registered a school-record time of 1:59.22 to post a top-30 NAIA time while also currently seeded 3rd in the AAC in the 800.
  • This was his first indoor meet of the season.
