Lady Koalas Dominate Bob Jones, Win by 43

GREENVILLE, SC - The Columbia College women's basketball team rolled to a dominating rout on the road at Bob Jones University winning 85-42 to improve to 5-0 on the season, the best start in school history.

CC got out to a 26-13 lead after the first quarter before extending it to 20 points at halftime at 41-21. Then, a 20-11 third quarter pushed the Koala lead to 61-32 after three before they continued to pour it on in the 4th outscoring the Bruins 24-10 for the 40 + point victory. Columbia shot 44 percent overall while holding BJU (0-4) to just 31.5 % and only 15 percent from 3-pt range. They also outrebounded the Bruins 52-37 for the game including 20 offensive boards.

A balanced scoring attack saw the Koalas put three players in double figures while 11 different players scored led by 12 points each from guards Anaya Muhammad and junior Makayla Street. Street added a team-best nine rebounds off the bench and 2 steals while Muhammad had 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Senior forward Tamyra Davis also finished in double digits with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

Sophomore point guard Kindan Dawson also added 8 points, two 3s, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals off the bench while sophomore guard Tysonia Lowe scored 9 points with a team best 4 steals. Also playing well off the bench was sophomore forward Kamya Hatten with 9 points and 6 rebounds. Junior Forward De'Asia Feaster posted 6 points, 3 boards and 3 steals while junior point guard Layla Wall and senior shooter Keyshuna Fair combined for 12 points and 9 rebounds. Wall also added a team-high 4 assists and 3 steals.

The Koalas will now return home to host St. Andrews (NC) on Wednesday evening at 5:30 as they begin conference play.
