Blackstock Named National Women's Lacrosse League Player of the Week

The National Women's Lacrosse League announced Monday the sixth Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for the 2016 season. Kendra Blackstock of Columbia College has been named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Sam Vikstrom of Indiana Tech has been named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Blackstock, a junior midfielder from Mount Pleasant, S.C., led the Lady Koalas to a 2-1 week. In a 23-0 victory over Montreat, Blackstock finished with six goals, six draw controls, three caused turnovers, and an assist. Two days later in the Lady Koalas 15-2 victory over Asbury, Blackstock collected another six goals, four draw controls, and two caused turnovers. In the Lady Koalas lone loss of the week, Blackstock netted five goals, collected three draw controls, grabbed two groundballs, and caused one turnover. Blackstock finished the week with 17 goals, 13 draw controls, six caused turnovers, two groundballs, and an assist.
The Koalas will face Coker College at home on Wednesday, April 6th at 6 PM. Go Koalas!
