Columbia College Women’s Soccer Travels to Toccoa Falls for Non-Conference Action

Toccoa Falls, Ga. – The Columbia College (SC) women's soccer team look to make it two straight Wednesday (Sept. 8), when they head to Toccoa Falls, Ga. to face the Screaming Eagles of Toccoa Falls University.  The match is set for a 5 PM start.

The Koalas, who are coming off a 5-0 shutout of USC Lancaster, takes a 1-1-0 record into the non-conference contest.  Freshman forward Jordan Myers paced Columbia College in the victory with two goals-two assists for six points. 

Sophomore Lakelee Aldrich, this week's Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Defensive Player of the Week, helped anchor the Koala defense and contributed one assist for two points in the shutout.

Overall, Myers leads the team with three goals and two assists for eight points.  Freshman Isabella Gurrieri, junior Madison Stewart and senior Brianna Sandoval have one goal each for the Koalas.

This is the season opener for Toccoa Falls who finished the 2020 campaign with a 2-9 overall record.

Columbia College will return home this Saturday, Sept. 11 when they host Kentucky Christian in its 2021 AAC opener.
