Koalas Emma Parker Named AAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Asheville, NC – Columbia College (SC) Emma Parker has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday. Jackie Montes of Montreat earned the Offensive Player of the Week.

Parker, a 5-9 sophomore goalkeeper from Chapin, SC (Chapin HS), Had a 45-minute shutout against Bluefield collecting five saves, and added 11 saves in a 2-1 road win at Brenau. She has allowed one goal in the conference this year as the Koalas have gone 3-0.

Columbia College will travel to Montreat, NC Wednesday, Sept. 22, to take on the Cavaliers of Montreat College.
