FERRUM, Va. - The Columbia College women's tennis team went on the road Tuesday and shut out D-3 foe Ferrum College 6-0 in Virginia. 

The women swept the doubles by scores of 6-2, 6-2 led by the top team of Natalia Diaz and freshman Rachel Thompson and the #2 team of junior Aniya Sims and sophomore Vienne Geren.

Then, in singles, the Koalas won all four matches in straight sets led by Diaz at the top line, 6-2, 6-1. Sims then won 6-3, 6-0 at the two spot while Thompson crushed her foe 6-2, 6-0 at the 3 line. Finally, freshman Camryn McCutchen defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at the 4 spot for the win.

The Lady Koalas improve to 4-1 overall and will next return home on Saturday, March 1 when they host Reinhardt at 1 pm in conference play.
