Koala Women’s Track & Field Ranks 12th Nationally

In Week 2 of the 2023 NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index, the Columbia College women's track and field team ranks 12th. The 12th place ranking is up two from last week's poll, where the Koalas debut at #14.

The strength of the Koalas' racewalkers is instrumental in securing the national ranking. Four Koalas holds the top four national spots in the 3000-meter racewalk. Izabelle Trefts leads the nation in the event, followed by Victoria Heiser-Whatley, Ainhoa Colino, and Jessica Heiser-Whatley. Ariana Pratt ranks in the Top 20, while Gabrielle Huggins, Jennyfer Vigueras, and Mina Shull all rank in the Top 40 nationally in the 3000m racewalk for the Koalas.

Additionally, the 4x800 Meter Relay Team of Angeline Kravitz, Huggins, Makayla Hollifield, and Kayleigh Lodge ranks 14th, and the Distance Medley Relay Team consisting of Colino, Lodge, Trefts, and Hollifield 24th nationally.
