WALESKA, Ga. - The Columbia College volleyball team fell 3-0 on the road at Reinhardt University, the top team in the conference, on Tuesday evening as RU remains unbeaten in the AAC.
Reinhardt won via scores of 25-16, 25-14, and 25-11 totaling 35 kills to the Koalas' 21.
Defensively, CC was led by sophomore libero Katie Roberts as she recorded 14 digs while junior setter Debra Shephard compiled 15 assists and 3 digs.
Offensively, senior middle blocker Destiny Brown led with 5 kills and 2 blocks while freshman middle Gia Thornton posted 3 kills and a dig with zero errors to hit .750. Fellow freshmen hitters Kameron Turner and Melodi Paige combined for 7 kills while junior OH Maranda Bird put up 4 kills and 8 digs.
Reinhardt improves to 18-4 overall and 10-0 in the conference while Columbia falls to 3-17 and 3-8 in the AAC. The Koalas next return to action on Friday evening when they come home to host Johnson University at 6:30 pm from the Godbold Center.
