Shephard Named AAC Volleyball Setter of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Junior setter Debra Shephard of Columbia College is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Setter of the Week, the league announced on Monday. This is the 11th edition of the awards for the 2025 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Nov. 10.

Shephard's career day and record setting assist total helped the Lady Koalas to their 5th win of the season and second straight as they look to qualify for the AAC tournament next week. Columbia is now 5-12 in the conference and in a tie for 10th. They will next play at CIU on Friday night at 6:30 pm and at SMC on Saturday morning in Spartanburg.

• Averaged 12.56 assists per set.
• Had a school-record 64 assists in a 3-2 win over Truett McConnell.
• Logged 113 assists in 9 sets on the week.
• Recorded 1 double-double.
• Also had 14 digs, 2 blocks, 2 kills, and 2 aces.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.
