Koala Men’s Soccer Remain on the Road to Face Toccoa Falls
Toccoa Falls, Ga. -- The Columbia College (SC) men's soccer team will look to notch the program's first win Wednesday (Sept. 8) when they travel to Toccoa Falls, Ga. for a non-conference contest against the Screaming Eagles of Toccoa Falls University.
The first kick will follow the women's contest at approximately 7 p.m.
In the program inaugural contest last Friday (Sept. 3), the Koalas fell 5-0 to Converse University, another first-year program. Despite the loss, goalkeeper Miguel Rivas-Giraldo had a good showing in the net, finishing with 12 saves against 17 shots on goal for a 71 save percentage.
Koye' Gnamien, Dylan Huneycutt, and Oby Vega had one shot each in the loss.
This is the season opener for Toccoa Falls. The Screaming Eagles finished a shortened 2020 season with an 0-8 overall record.
Columbia College will play its inaugural home game this Saturday, Sept. 11, when they host Kentucky Christian University. The contest will get underway at approximately 3 p.m., following the women's contest.
