14 Koalas Named to Softball All-Academic Team

Waleska, GA- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) released the 2023 Softball post-season awards on Thursday evening. These awards include All-Conference, All-Academic, and the Champions of Character team.

Per the AAC, To qualify for the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or above.

For the Champions of Character Team, student-athletes are nominated by their coach for best exemplifying the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character program. The five values are integrity, respect, responsibility, servant leadership, and sportsmanship.

14 Koalas were named All-Academic Team:

Paige Branham 

Kiley Bridgmon 

Meghan Dennis 

Madison Hearn 

Keeley Hulse 

Jordan Kennedy 

Madison Lee 

Skyler Monson 

Katie Poole 

Mary-Catherine Sanders 

Dacie Smith 

Kylie Smith 

Ashlyn Stanley

 

Meghan Dennis has also been named to the Champions of Character team. 

Reinhardt swept nearly every major award with the Pitcher of the Year in Whitney Shepherd, the Freshman of the Year in Kylie Freije, and the Coach of the Year, David Dews; Haley Lyner of Point University was named the AAC Player of the Year.
